About the Role
We’re seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to our HR team while helping deliver a positive employee experience. This role is a key point of contact for employees and supports HR compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, recruitment coordination, and engagement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-minded, highly organized, and motivated by supporting people and culture in a regulated financial services environment.
What You’ll Do
HR Operations & Administration
- Process employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, promotions, transfers, status changes, and separations
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR documentation in compliance with policy and regulations
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing by auditing HR data for accuracy
- Support HR communications such as employee announcements, intranet updates, and internal messaging
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment logistics including job postings, interview scheduling, and pre-employment screening
- Communicate with candidates to ensure a professional, timely, and welcoming hiring experience
- Prepare offer letters, onboarding materials, and new hire documentation
- Ensure accurate completion of all hiring and onboarding paperwork
Benefits & Leave Support
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment questions and available resources
- Support open enrollment activities, benefit communications, and vendor coordination
- Help track and administer leaves of absence, FMLA, and workers’ compensation documentation
- Serve as a liaison with benefits vendors and third-party administrators as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Compliance & Policy Administration
- Assist with administering and communicating HR policies and procedures
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Track mandatory training, certifications, acknowledgments, and required postings
- Respond to routine HR inquiries and escalate complex issues appropriately
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support employee engagement and recognition programs
- Help coordinate staff events, celebrations, trainings, and workshops
- Foster a culture grounded in hospitality, inclusion, and member-centric service
HRIS & Process Improvement
- Utilize HRIS and workflow tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline repetitive HR processes
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, administrative, or coordinator roles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented approach
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with WA State and Federal employment laws
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a credit union or regulated financial institution
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Experience with WordPress, Adobe, Canva
Other Qualifications
- Ability to work in a retail and office-based environment with some travel to branches or off-site meetings.
- Ability to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or event-related hours.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (files, materials, event supplies)
- Must successfully pass required background checks
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Pay Range
$27.76 - $37.48 per hour
