Join Our Team as a Substitute Caregiver at St. Patrick Catholic Early Childhood Center!

St. Patrick Catholic Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our team as a substitute caregiver for children ages 6 weeks - 36+ months. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to serve and grow with our students, parents, and fellow team members, making a real impact on a child's early development. 


Position Details 

  • Job Title: Substitute Caregiver 
  • Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 7:30 - 5:30 
  • Location: St. Patrick Catholic Early Childhood Center


What You'll Be Doing: Core Responsibilities 

As a vital member of our team, your day will involve nurturing and educating our young students: 

Nurturing Care: Engaging and playing with the children, rocking them before naptime, and giving lots of snuggles throughout the day. 

  • Daily Care: Change diapers, assist with potty training, and prepare snacks and lunches. 
  • Educational Planning: Assist the age-appropriate engaging activities and lessons that foster growth. 
  • Classroom Management: Manage children in a calm, organized manner, thinking ahead to creating smooth transitions.
  • Communication & Partnership: Greet parents and students with a welcoming attitude and communicate regularly to support a strong parent partnership with parents and co-workers.
  • Team Support: Demonstrate a willingness to work wherever needed (Toddler or Infant Room) and follow established processes and routines. 
  • Organization: Maintain a clean and organized classroom space (sweeping, mopping, wiping, etc.), and any daily cleaning necessary.

Qualifications 

  • Experience/Education: Previous experience in this field would be preferred although is not necessary for the position. 
  • Technology: Comfortable using the Brightwheel app for communication and daily reports. 
  • Safety: Certification in CPR is preferred but not required. 
  • Commitment: Above all, a willingness to serve the students, parents, and team members.
