THE JOB:
As an Event Services Manager in the Social/Weddings market, you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for our guests at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. This is a highly visible role that acts as the liaison between clients and the hotel to provide detailed planning and supervision of assigned social groups, events, and Weddings. This role will provide exceptional service for clients, planners, and vendors to help support the greater hotel operations team in providing elevated event experiences. The Event Services Manager distributes detailed event orders, group resumes, and diagrams, oversees tasting and event planning meetings with clients, manages onsite event coordination, and approves final group billing arrangements. This position reports to the Director of Catering and Conference Services.

Requirements
Refined verbal and written communication skills, with precise attention to detail
1-2 years of experience in event coordination, Wedding or social event planning, or related experience in hotel food and beverage
Menu and Wine knowledge
Delphi experience preferred
Strong time management skills and organization are required
Proven demonstration of conflict resolution, with grace under pressure, to provide a resolution
Experience in a luxury environment, with a priority of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Flexible schedule availability to include weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event business levels
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
Performs other duties and attends operational meetings, as assigned, to meet business needs
