Senior Director of Operations

Location: Corporate HQ St. Louis MO

Organization: Bridgemark Healthcare / Helia Healthcare / Palladian Management

Reports to: Owner/President

The Opportunity

As Senior Director of Operations, you will oversee multi-site operations across twenty-one skilled nursing, long term care, and assisted living communities. You will partner closely with corporate operations managers, clinical leadership, finance, HR, and community administrators to ensure consistent execution, regulatory readiness, financial success, and sustainable growth.

You will be trusted with significant autonomy—and held accountable for results.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Operations Leadership

  • Provide operational oversight and direction for the corporate leadership team and multiple long term care facilities.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company values, standards, systems, and policies.
  • Serve as a primary operational partner to regional operations and clinical directors.
  • Act as a key member of the corporate leadership team.

Performance & Financial Management

  • Drive facility level and portfolio wide performance (NOI, census, revenue, labor, expenses, margins).
  • Oversee setting of performance targets and expectations.
  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Lead turnaround and stabilization initiatives when needed.

Quality & Compliance Support

  • Partner with clinical leadership to support quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure operational preparedness for state and federal surveys.
  • Support Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, corrective action plans, and ongoing compliance improvements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, fair dealing, safety, and operational discipline.

People & Leadership Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Directors of Operations, Regional Clinical Directors, Administrators, and other operational leaders.
  • Build strong leadership pipelines and bench strength.
  • Partner with HR on recruitment, retention, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and results.

Strategic Execution

  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans.
  • Identify operational best practices and drive standardization across the portfolio.



Requirements

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership in long term care / skilled nursing.
  • Multi-site or regional leadership experience (corporate level strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in financial oversight, labor management, and operational turnarounds.
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulatory and reimbursement environments.
  • Illinois Nursing Home Administrator's License. Missouri Nursing Home Administrator's License, or license eligible, preferred.
