Pediatricz Now Primary Care is based out of Houston, TX. We have 3 new locations opening June 2026 in San Antonio, TX.

About the Role:

As a Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) at Pediatricz Now Primary Care PLLC in TX, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to pediatric patients. Your primary objective will be to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions in children, ensuring their overall well-being and development. You will collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create individualized care plans that promote preventive health and early intervention. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient care, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to educate caregivers on health maintenance and disease prevention. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to improving health outcomes and quality of life for the pediatric population served by our practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid NP/PA medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Demonstrated experience in pediatric primary care or a related clinical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary pediatric primary care environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems commonly used in outpatient settings.
  • Additional certifications in pediatric subspecialties or adolescent medicine.
  • Strong background in patient and family education techniques.
  • Participation in continuing medical education (CME) focused on pediatric healthcare advancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients. (Newborn- 21 yrs)
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions in children.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies as appropriate.
  • Provide anticipatory guidance and health education to patients and their families regarding nutrition, immunizations, growth, and development.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive management of complex cases.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with pediatric healthcare best practices.

Skills:

The required clinical skills enable the practitioner to accurately assess and manage pediatric health concerns, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans. Communication skills are essential for educating families and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide holistic care. Proficiency with electronic health records facilitates efficient documentation and coordination of patient information. Preferred skills such as familiarity with pediatric subspecialties and advanced certifications enhance the practitioner's ability to address complex cases and provide specialized care. Continuous learning and adaptability are vital to staying current with evolving pediatric healthcare standards and improving patient outcomes.
