About the Role

Description

Encompass is a mission-driven non-profit and recognized leader in early childhood education in Northeast Wisconsin. With eight thriving locations across Green Bay, De Pere, Oconto, and Pulaski, and an anticipated ninth location opening in 2027, we continue to grow intentionally, investing in educators, strong systems, and high-quality programs that support children, families, and communities for the long term.


Our NAEYC-accredited programs are grounded in HighScope Curriculum and Conscious Discipline, with on-site supports that allow educators to focus on meaningful teaching and relationship-based care.

What You’ll Do

As an Early Childhood Educator at Encompass, you will:

· Create nurturing, engaging learning environments that support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development

· Implement the HighScope Curriculum through active learning, observation, and assessment

· Use Conscious Discipline strategies to foster safe, respectful, and inclusive classrooms

· Build strong partnerships with children and families

· Maintain developmentally appropriate, high-quality learning environments

· Collaborate with Center Directors, fellow educators, and advocates

· Participate in ongoing professional growth


What We’re Looking For

Assistant Teachers

· High school diploma required

· Two non-credit early childhood courses completed preferred

· Interest in early childhood education and a desire to continue learning and growing in the field


Lead Teachers

· Associate degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field

· Bachelor’s degrees in unrelated fields are welcome to apply

· Classroom experience and understanding of developmentally appropriate, relationship-based practice preferred

  Compensation   

· Assistant Teachers: $15.00–$20.00 per hour (2 credits in ECE or both DCF-approved non-credit course in ECE)

· Lead Teachers: $18.00–$24.00 per hour (associate’s degree or higher in ECE or related field)
Pay based on education, experience, and Registry level
