Position Summary:
The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ready mix concrete plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and supporting daily production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment including conveyors, mixers, batch plants, and electrical systems 
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform timely repairs 
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and keep accurate records 
  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns to minimize plant downtime 
  • Maintain plant safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations 
  • Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and improvements 
  • Work closely with plant managers and operators to identify maintenance needs 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in industrial, construction, or ready mix environments preferred 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems is a plus 
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred 
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Valid driver’s license required 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Ability to climb, bend, and work at heights when necessary
