Switchboard/Security Operations Specialist

The Communication Representative I is responsible for assisting with switchboard operations and managing incoming calls, pages, and messages, ensuring accurate and timely communication for multiple stakeholders. The role supports efficient information flow and emergency response communications. The role contributes to the daily operations of telecommunications services, troubleshoots issues, and maintains documentation for compliance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and transfer callers to the appropriate extension. 
  • Monitor the hospital CCTV for safety and security concerns. 
  • Monitor alarm systems to ensure that secure conditions are maintained. 

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required. 
  • Specialized or technical training in communications and/or security operations preferred
  • Correspond in person, over email and phone in a pleasant and professional manner. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to organize and manage several tasks requiring a variety of skills, resources and time commitments.
