SUPERVISOR - KENO

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the keno shift personnel. Verifies and approves winning tickets for payouts. The keno shift supervisor handles guest disputes and assists the keno manager in other assigned duties.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Maintains efficient Keno game operation under the direction of the Keno Manager and within the goals and established policies of the casino, while complying with the State regulations
- Ensures all procedures and guidelines for the games are followed
- Attends to any guest disputes
- Ensures that all guests’ needs are met
- Enforces rules and regulations of the keno game and casino
- Maintains guest and associate security and relations
- Ensures that all keno personnel maintain a high level of guest service
- Finds ways to make good use of their own and their associates' strengths and talents
- Acts as a mentor for their peers and considers the success of the associates as their own success
- Takes personal responsibility for their performance, knows how they are performing, and constantly strives to improve
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, courtesy, responsiveness, and professionalism in our daily work.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or as gaming operational needs may change
- Models for the team, a strong work ethic, and is visible, available, and present for the guest and their team
- Be presentable and approachable by maintaining a professional image
- Develops strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives
- Develops teamwork and effective communication between all keno personnel
- Advises and briefs the Keno Manager on day-to-day operation
- Writes and pays tickets
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Have basic math skills.
- Have money handling skills.
- Have a basic understanding of the different pay rates and the cost of tickets.
- Have a basic understanding of Keno way tickets.
- Experience in cashiering

Requirements
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED Certification
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public and casino staff.
- Ability to receive and count large amounts of money.
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Knowledge of computer skills
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to speak clearly and accurately in public.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- 6 months of Keno writer experience.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
- Knowledge of Keno operations highly desirable.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Gaming License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
