About the Role

The Human Resources Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing and executing HR strategies aligned with company goals. This position will own and execute strategies that directly support how we scale, how we perform, and how we show up.  This role is responsible for ensuring compliance across multiple states, improving employee engagement and partnering with team members to manage employee relations, benefits, performance management, and day-to-day operations to keep our people and business moving.

This position reports to the President and is based in Boise, ID.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute a people strategy aligned with Roundhouse’s growth trajectory.
  •  Identify workforce planning needs as the portfolio expands into new markets.
  • Design and scale HR policies, processes and systems.
  • Contribute people and culture insights to organizational decisions, surfacing data and analysis that improve how Roundhouse operates.
  • Support hiring managers in full-cycle recruiting across corporate and property level roles in all states where Roundhouse operates.
  • Partner with other departments to build and maintain a strong employer brand presence to attract mission aligned candidates in competitive markets.
  • Partner to identify training and development gaps designing programs that build skills, deepen leadership capability and create clear career paths.
  • Lead retention strategies grounded in data by tracking turnover trends and translating insights into action.
  • Coach and advise leaders and employees.
  • Manage compensation benchmarking across all markets.
  • Administer health, dental, vision and life insurance programs; lead annual open enrollment.
  • Administer the company’s worker compensation program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment law across all Roundhouse operations including multi-state requirements.
  • Ensure complete and accurate employee records are kept including hiring documents, I-9 files, and workers’ compensation records and HR metrics.
  • Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary matters with consistency, discretion and sound judgment.
  • Champion Roundhouse’s Core Values and Team Norms embedding them into hiring criteria, performance conversations and day-to-day operations.
  • Lead or support special projects and initiatives as the business evolves. 


Requirements

 About You

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated manager-level experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or other related filed, or equivalent combination of education and experience· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to build HR programs from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance, including multi-state operations.
  • End-to-end recruiting experience across a range of roles and levels.
  • Experience administering benefit programs and managing open enrollment.· Proficiency working in and configuring HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity.
  • You are a go-getter who takes ownership and follows through.
  • You are self-motivated, proactive and excited by opportunities to improve systems and outcomes.
  • You are energized by fast-paced work and enjoy balancing structure with flexibility.
  • You are organized, adaptable, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience in real estate, property management or multi-family housing a plus.
