Warehouse Supervisor

Description
In coordination with the Director of Logistics, the Warehouse Supervisor leads daily WINGS warehouse operations to ensure the safe processing of new and donated goods by trained staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Director of Logistics with daily warehouse operations, including training, scheduling, and supervising staff and volunteers; monitoring workflows to meet processing goals; enforcing safety, security, and sanitation standards; and ensuring compliance with all warehouse policies and procedures.
• Supervise distribution center operations, including managing inventory control, overseeing receiving, and planning seasonal inventory, to ensure timely intake, accurate documentation, and product integrity.
• Collaborate with Resale Store Managers to maintain appropriate inventory levels, ensuring the right items are available at the right stores, on time, and correctly priced
• Partner with the Manager of Volunteer Services to recruit and retain volunteers, improve the volunteer program, and effectively deploy both individuals and large groups
• Foster a positive, professional work environment while motivating staff and volunteers to achieve processing goals
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics, and participate in agency-wide meetings, committees, and required training
• Provide regular updates to management on workflows, staffing, and facility status.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent required, plus at least 2 years of warehouse supervisory experience; Associate of Science (AS) degree or related field preferred
• Solid understanding of inventory control best practices (pricing accuracy, stock organization, and inventory flow) with a commitment to continuous learning
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate and manage, and communicate effectively through writing, speaking, and active listening
• Strong project and time-management skills, including sound decision-making and problem-solving; strong organizational skills; and proficiency with organizational systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and POS
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, climb stairs, and stand for up to 8 hours); OSHA Forklift Certification a plus
• Willingness to work variable hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
