STATEMENT OF PURPOSE EBC strives to be the nucleus of the national payment ecosystem, supporting financial inclusion and the transformation into a less cash society. 1) 123 Shared Cash Network: connecting all ATMs and cash points across Egypt, accepts all types of cards including credit, prepaid, governmental and private sector payroll and pension 2) Automatic Clearing House: A nationwide Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) network, It processes batches of interbank Credit and Debit transactions facilitating a wide range payments 3) Meeza Digital: Meeza Digital is the domestic network connecting 32 million mobile wallets by all service providers to enable money transfer, QR code, Request to pay, Online purchase, cash-in and out through ATM. 4) Meeza National Card Scheme: The domestic card scheme serving more than 32 million card holder in compliance with global security and card scheme standards. 5) Instant Payment Network: Launched in 2022 offering instant 24/7 and seamless payment experience. The network is offers full interoperability across cards, mobile wallets and bank accounts. EBC takes pride in offering INSTAPAY application, first consumer Application licensed to operate on the Instant Payment Network, allowing direct access to bank accounts and instant transfer via mobile 24/7.
About the Role
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration/Project-based tasks of Next Generation Firewalls, Web Application firewalls, Network Admission Control, Routers, and legacy & SDN Switches to meet the business requirements.
  • Applies software patches whenever requested either remotely or on-site.                            
  • Provides 24x7 on-call/on-site support whenever preformation the duty of on-call, which has roaster that is rotated, or for emergency needs.
  • Diagnoses and resolve the network problems in short periods.                               
  • Suggest improvements including permanent and workaround solutions for improvement of EBC Network & security infrastructure‘s resilience, Flexibility, and scalability.               
  • Coordinates with the Security Operations Center to defend proactively against the known exploit.
  • Monitor, and report Network Security performance and integrity.
  • Acts as the primary interface with vendors including ISPs for resolving Network & Security reported issues.                                                                                                             
  • Implementing disaster recovery procedures.                                                                              
  • Communicate with end-users, and customers when needed.
  • Investigates validity and responds to reported vulnerabilities received from all security control units.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. This documentation ensures that the network infrastructure is well-documented, facilitating efficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and future network expansions.                    
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as system administrators to ensure the seamless integration of network Security services with other IT systems. They may also lead or participate in projects related to network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.                                                                                                      
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is a must.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong experience in standard Enterprise Network Firewalls, and WAF solution.                                      
  • TCP, IP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, EIGRP, and optionally BGP, and encrypted tunneling protocols.     
  • Administering enterprise networks in mission-critical, 24x7 production environment.    
  • CCNP Enterprise, and NSE4 are a must.
  • TMOS 201, PCNSA, and DCACI are optional.C39.                                   
  • ITIL concepts such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management.      
  • PCI-DSS, ISO 27001
