You’re the person people turn to when the question isn’t “how do we build this?” but “what should we build - and why?” 

You’re comfortable operating before things are clearly defined. You take complex, sometimes abstract business challenges and shape them into structured, actionable solutions - and you stay involved to make sure they actually work in practice. 

At RevoData, you lead Databricks-driven engagements end-to-end: from defining the architecture and approach to guiding delivery, aligning stakeholders, and making sure the solution creates real value. 

We’d love to talk if: 

You design solutions that connect business needs to technical reality: You can take a vague problem and turn it into a clear architecture, approach, and plan. You define not just what gets built, but why - and what success looks like. 

You bring depth across data & AI architecture: You have a strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns, distributed systems, and how large-scale data processing works. You’re comfortable discussing algorithms, performance trade-offs, and how different components interact across a platform. 

Databricks is a core part of your architecture toolkit: You design solutions around the lakehouse paradigm - using Delta Lake for reliable data storage, Unity Catalog for governance, and the wider ecosystem to support ingestion, transformation, machine learning, and serving. You understand how these pieces come together in real-world architectures. New to Databricks but wan't to specialise quickly? Still apply - we have a track for you!

You think beyond data engineering: You’re comfortable incorporating machine learning concepts into your designs - whether that’s enabling ML workflows, supporting GenAI use cases, or ensuring the platform can handle evolving AI requirements. 

You understand governance, security, and compliance: You design with data governance, access control, and regulatory considerations in mind - not as an afterthought, but as part of the foundation. 

You turn architecture into execution: You can break down a solution into clear phases, define a realistic roadmap, and guide teams through delivery. You know how to move from high-level design to concrete steps without losing direction. 

You influence across levels: You can explain architectural decisions to senior stakeholders while working closely with engineers to refine implementation details. You challenge assumptions, align teams, and keep things moving forward. 

You contribute beyond the project: Whether through mentoring, internal standards, demos, or sharing knowledge externally - you help raise the level of both clients and colleagues. 

Nice to have: 

• Databricks certifications or recognition (e.g. Champion)  

• Fluency in Dutch

• We are open to hiring at Principal level for this role. Our Principal salary range is €90,000-€110,000 per year. As part of the hiring process, candidates are benchmarked during the technical assessment. If your skills and experience align more closely with a different level, we will discuss the corresponding salary band with you.
