- Headquarters Allied Joint Force Command Norfolk (JFCNF) provides a resilient, static Joint headquarters to plan, prepare and conduct
operations across all domains in peacetime, crisis and conflict, in order to support NATO’s three core tasks, at the Joint Operational level, as
directed by SACEUR. - The Management Directorate is responsible for the integration, coordination and implementation of services and activities to support,
facilitate and contribute to the full JFCNF mission spectrum. The Directorate advises and assists the COS on the implementation of policy and
related issues. - The Base Support Group (BSG) is responsible for internal management and coordination of base support operations for JFCNF and
collocated entities. - The Reprographics Section is responsible for the overall direction, management and coordination of all reprographic services provided to
JFCNF and supported elements. - The incumbent is responsible for the provision of graphics and reproduction services in support of briefings, conferences, exercises,
correspondence and documents.
Principal Duties:
The incumbent's duties are:
a. Implements photographic, graphics arts program and operates the printing and reproduction services.
b. Designs, co-ordinates and elaborates forms and publication and provides reprographics support to the Command and collocated
Commands.
c. Controls, manages, and stores graphics files made by the Cell.
d. Combines expertise and creativity to develop pictures and decorations in the production of graphics arts.
e. Supports personnel on daily activities related to the graphic creation and software-graphics equipment.
f. Maintains contact with local companies and suppliers of printing materials. Assesses new products and makes recommendations for
purchase of new items, materials, equipment, for which knowledge of the host nation language is needed.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Higher Secondary education and intermediate vocational training which might lead to a formal qualification with 2 years experience, or
Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4
years post related experience. Three years' experience in the preparation of illustrative and computer graphics.
Three years' experience of photographic and graphics techniques and software/equipment.
Language: English - SLP 3322 - (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing)
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
An extensive working knowledge of current graphics software, as: Adobe, PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Light room, Coral Draw.
Experience in print and layout designs, graphic manipulation, and logo design.
Working knowledge of lighting techniques, operation of a DSLR camera, and photographic studio equipment.
Working knowledge of the operation of high volume production printers/plotters.

Managerial Responsibilities: Assesses technical competencies of newly assigned personnel and establishes a personal training program
with respect to specific equipment and procedures used within the organization element.
Professional Contacts: Works daily with members of the graphics team, JFC HQ directorate/branch representatives submitting work
requests, local businesses, software developers, members of the Command Group requiring specific, time-sensitive graphic products.
- Civilian professional contacts are mainly aligned to the reprographic & graphic suppliers of equipment and consumable products.
- Carries out market surveys both within and without NATO bodies, to keep updated on latest graphics equipment and software programs.
- Attends trade shows, visits vendors exhibits / corporations.
Contribution To Objectives: The incumbent contributes significantly to the optimal functioning of the Headquarters providing high quality
graphic products. Supports the Command events (visits, briefings, conferences, exercises, etc..) impacting positively on the image of the headquarters.
Security Clearance
The successful applicant will be required to apply for and receive a NATO SECRET Security Clearance prior to final confirmation of contract and commencement of employment.
Contract
- Serving NATO International Civilian staff will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.
- Newly recruited staff will be offered a three-year definite duration contract.
