About the Role
North Suffolk is looking for a Program Director to join our team! Because of his/her life experience with addiction, the Director of Recovery on the Harbor provides expertise that professional training cannot replicate. This position will provide services that support entry into the recovery community and assist to strengthen and enhance any services a person has or is receiving. They manage the daily operations and administration of Recovery on the Harbor Recovery Support Center. The Program Director will direct and coordinate the design, development and implementation of cohesive service program.
This position is full-time 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday with some nights and weekends required.

What you’ll do:
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, scheduling, training, and evaluating performance of employees.
- Develop and direct the work schedules for the direct service staff.
- Provide guidance and supervision to direct service staff at Recovery Support Center with regard to their role throughout NSCS.
- Insure the program and individual records are current, comprehensive and meet agency and funding source standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and identify any deficiencies of on-going service delivery programs, processes and procedures.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of processes and/or make recommendations to enhance service delivery and correct deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance of off-site program contracts and of state regulations for licensure.
- Provide all necessary services and accompanying documentation related to data collection and maintenance.
- Model and encourage a supportive and productive team approach with fellow staff members, and RSS team as needed to maintain this attitude.
- Represent the agency at outside meetings/speaking engagements as necessary.
- Assist in the planning and adherence to the program’s budget.
- Monitor program utilization to report to the Department Director.
What you’ll need:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred (which may be in a field other than behavioral sciences).
- Experience: Must have work experience with adults diagnosed with Substance use and or dependency.
- Must have supervisory experience, preferably in the human services field.
- This individual should have lived experience or lived experience in the Recovery world.
- Knowledge: Must have Recovery Coach and Recovery Coach Supervisor Certification.
- Must have five years acknowledged continuous sobriety.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
