Massage Therapist

Royal Oaks Country Club is looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist with at least five(5) years of professional experience for its High-end Sports/Spa facility.

Job Type & Pay: Part-time/On Call (Availability 4 days a week), Commission-based

JOB SUMMARY:

The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our members. Have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our club’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. Possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our members. Must hold and maintain a current state license and certifications.

INTERACTION: 

• Frequent interaction with members and guests.
• Frequent interaction with assigned staff and club departments.

JOB TASKS:

• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• Provide consistent professional massage in accordance with club protocols and accepted license practices. 
• Effectively inform and educate our members about specific wellness concerns.
• Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the club.
• Properly care for equipment.      
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the club’s policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
• Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or members in the club that require attention.
• Actively promote treatments, services, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
• Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by members and guests. 
• Integrate department with club programming and team.

MATERIAL HANDLING: 

• Massage products
• Regular daily functionality

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Fitness Center Setting
• Massage Treatment Rooms

• Frequent tidying of massage rooms are requirements of this leadership position

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must hold and maintain a current massage state license 
• Minimum of one year of professional massage experience in club, spa or resort setting performing our current spa offerings
• CPR and AED certification required.
