CNC Cutter Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Cutter Operator to run and maintain a Gerber Paragon HX automated cutting system. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, efficient cutting of materials while maintaining high quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the Gerber Paragon HX cutting machine 
• Load and unload materials (fabric, composites, or other substrates) 
• Set up cutting jobs based on work orders and digital files 
• Inspect cut parts for accuracy, defects, and quality standards 
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning 
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical or software issues 
• Coordinate with design, CAD, and production teams 
• Maintain production logs and report issues promptly 
• Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols

Requirements

 Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC cutting systems (Gerber, Lectra, Eastman, or similar preferred) 
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM file workflows 
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical instructions 
• Strong attention to detail and quality control 
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills 
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods 
• Basic computer skills 

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Gerber systems or equipment from Lectra      
• Knowledge of nesting software and material optimization      
• Background in textiles, composites, or manufacturing environments
