Manager, Operations Performance

Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Operations Performance, this role is focused on embedding operational excellence throughout the organization by establishing robust standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manager, Operations Performance plays a critical role in driving transformative improvements across the company’s manufacturing operations.
This leader will oversee and execute high-impact initiatives across multiple production sites, aligning efforts with strategic priorities in the following areas:
- Yield Adherence
- Labour Optimization
- Waste Reduction
- Product and Process Optimization
- Capability Building for Plant Personnel
Success in this role requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, a strong continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively and mentor cross-functional teams.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and support operations in driving optimization projects across the organization to help drive key performance indicators;
- Support plant leadership teams to drive step-change and breakthrough improvements in safety, quality, productivity, service, cost, and environment;
- Drive a relentless focus on development of Manufacturing Standards and daily management systems to ensure sustainable business performance – including the Training and Qualification of Equipment Operators;
- Build Technical Mastery and Critical Partnerships with Equipment Designers and Machine Suppliers for the purpose of delivering more cost-efficient production processes and improved Manufacturing Standards for the Equipment Operator;
- Support and manage the Start-up of new equipment and manufacturing processes at multiple manufacturing sites, including Acceptance testing, Commissioning, Qualification, and Performance Based Training;
- Lead Collaborative Teamwork on projects across Operations, QA, H&S, Finance and HR to deliver superior results;
- Take on leadership with direct reports as needed to drive operational excellence;
- Be willing to travel 30% (Canada);
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- University degree in Science or Engineering program;
- Experience implementing and leading LEAN, TPM and Process Reliability/OEE methodologies;
- Experience driving Root Cause Problem Solving, Waste Elimination, Equipment Breakdown Elimination and the Qualification and Training others;
- 8+ years of experience working in a similar capacity in a Manufacturing environment. (Food Industry Experience highly desirable).
