Senior Social Media Manager

Cheba Hut is looking for a Senior Social Media Manager who lives and breathes content, community, and culture. Social media is one of our most important brand tools for connecting with our fans and telling the Cheba Hut story across 83+ locations nationwide. This role independently owns all social channels, serving as the voice, creative engine, and strategic mind behind our social presence.
This isn't a maintenance role. We're focusing on social media as a primary growth channel for the brand. We’re looking for someone who can revamp our entire social presence from the ground up — rethinking content strategy, elevating quality, and building a storytelling engine that shows the world what makes Cheba Hut different. We're not another sandwich shop. We're a culture, a vibe, and a community that's been doing things our own way since '98. The right person will dig into that story and find new, creative ways to tell it every single day.
You’ll manage all social channels across the Cheba HQ network, partner with our social & PR agency, create thumb-stopping content, coach franchisees on their local accounts (150K+ followers across 25 accounts), and use data to drive every decision. If you can shoot, edit, write, and analyze, all while keeping our irreverent/chill brand voice intact, this is your gig.
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Develop and manage the content calendar across all brand social channels (Meta/Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X)
- Write compelling, on-brand copy for daily posts, campaigns, product launches, and promotions that reflect Cheba Hut’s voice—light-hearted, irreverent, and rooted in our culture
- Concept and execute real-time content that keeps Cheba Hut in the cultural conversation
- Collaborate with the Creative Manager on campaign-level assets and brand storytelling
Photo & Video Production
- Shoot and edit photo and short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) using mobile and lightweight production tools
- Edit content using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or equivalent platforms
- Coordinate on-location shoots at Cheba Hut stores for authentic, in-the-moment content
- Build and maintain an organized library of brand-approved visual assets
- Handle management of video partners for campaign-based shoots including budgets, timelines, creative deliverables.
Community Management & Engagement
- Manage day-to-day community engagement: respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and reviews across all platforms
- Monitor brand sentiment and escalate issues as needed; serve as the frontline voice for the brand online
- Identify and nurture fan-generated content opportunities to amplify organic reach
Influencer Program Oversight
- Build and manage an influencer and creator partnership program aligned with brand values and local market strategy
- Work with PR/Social agency to Identify, vet, and negotiate partnerships with micro and macro influencers across key markets
- Track influencer deliverables, performance metrics, and ROI; optimize the program over time
Social Analytics & Reporting
- Own social media analytics and deliver regular performance reports to marketing leadership (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Track KPIs including engagement rate, reach, impressions, follower growth, conversion, and content performance by platform
- Use data insights to refine content strategy, optimize posting cadence, and inform creative decisions
- Benchmark performance against competitors and industry standards
Franchisee Coaching & Local Store Marketing Support
- Coach and train franchise operators on social media best practices, content guidelines, and platform-specific strategies
- Develop templated toolkits, asset libraries, and playbooks that empower franchisees to run effective local social accounts
- Provide ongoing support, feedback, and quality checks on franchisee social content to ensure brand consistency
Paid Social & Media Placements
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and other platforms to support brand awareness and local store traffic goals
- Manage paid social budgets, audience targeting, A/B testing, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Loyalty & Digital Marketing on integrated paid media strategy

Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of professional social media management experience, preferably in restaurant, hospitality, franchise, or consumer brand environments
- Proven track record managing brand accounts with 100K+ followers across multiple platforms
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone for different platforms and audiences
- Demonstrated photo and video shooting/editing capabilities for social-first content
- Experience managing influencer and creator partnerships from identification through performance analysis
- Proficiency across Meta Business Suite, TikTok, YouTube Studio, LinkedIn, and X
- Hands-on experience with paid social campaign management including budget allocation and performance optimization
- Strong analytical skills with experience using social analytics platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar)
- Experience coaching or training non-marketing stakeholders on social media execution
- Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, analytics, and workflow automation
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-unit franchise or multi-location brand environment
- Background in restaurant, QSR, or food & beverage marketing
- Portfolio showcasing content creation across short-form video, photography, and copywriting
- Experience working with franchise operators or distributed teams
- Knowledge of SEO, local search, and how social integrates with broader digital marketing strategy
