COMPENSATION RANGE
Pay Range: $3,000-$5000 + commission
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Longer hours may be needed to meet builder obligations or attend builder/industry events.
JOB SUMMARY
Great Floors is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Builder Account Representative to support our [location] in [specific PNW region]. Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Client Engagement: Generate new business through proactive outreach and job site presence. Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including builder personnel, contractors, designers, and vendor partners. Serve as a primary point of contact to address client needs and cultivate lasting partnerships.
• Lead site visits, pre-construction meetings, and ongoing communication.
• Create proposals and manage project execution
• Coordinate with estimating, operations, and installation teams
• Sales Support: Assist in the sales process by identifying leads, preparing presentations, and supporting the sales closing process. Work towards meeting personal and team sales targets.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to share market insights and ensure smooth execution of client projects and initiatives.
• Networking and Industry Engagement: Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Great Floors’ offerings (flooring, cabinetry, countertops, window treatments, backsplashes) and connect with industry professionals. Leverage national buying power and vendor agreements.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to the VP of Builder Sales and Branch Manager on progress with leads and market intelligence to support continuous improvement strategies.
• Performance numbers consistent with or above others in the same region.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
• Proven sales performer, at least two years in the construction or new homebuilding industry.
• Competitive, self-motivated, and highly accountable.
• Comfortable owning the full cycle: prospect ? bid ? close ? execute ? retain
• Motivated by growth and opportunity — not maintenance
• Ability to present and articulate points clearly and effectively.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Must consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent basic math skills.

• Ability to build strong working relationships with builder personnel and field team members.
• Punctual and reliable attendance.
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Word.
• Valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• On-Site Visits: Frequent travel to client locations, events, and construction sites, requiring walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven surfaces.
• Lift and Carry: Ability to lift and carry materials, samples, and promotional items weighing up to 30 pounds for presentations and networking.
• Visual Acuity: Must have the ability to distinguish colors, patterns, and details in product samples for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers and presentation tools, as well as handling samples and marketing materials.
• Standing and Walking: Extended periods of standing or walking during client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
• Communication: Clear verbal communication skills are essential for discussions and negotiations with clients.
• Driving: Must possess a valid driver's license for local travel.
• Adaptability: Ability to adjust to various environments, whether in office spaces, workshops, showrooms, or outdoor construction sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
• Office/Design Center: Professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels (e.g., computers, printers, and light foot traffic).
• Warehouse/Facility: May be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments (heat and cold), moving mechanical parts, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
• Job Site/Field: Exposure to active construction sites, outdoor weather conditions, dust, and fumes. Requires use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
