Atlantic Emergency Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for an Accounting Clerk in our McConnelsville, Ohio corporate office. Qualified candidates will be required to perform a wide variety of entry-level accounting tasks.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Paid holidays (no waiting period)

Work Environment:

  • McConnelsville, OH
  • Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.

Key Job Duties:

  • Assist with accounts receivable transactions
  • Accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements promptly and accurately
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and      properly posted
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status
  • Manage invoice submission and maintenance for customer payment portals
  • Data Entry
  • Reporting
  • Bookkeeping
  • Resolution of discrepancies related to any of the tasks he or she performs 
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Provide assistance to and support for team members 
  • Assist with ensuring the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively

Requirements

What we’re looking for:  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strive for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Familiar with and demonstrate comfortability with all bookkeeping and accounting practices and procedure
  • Must have an aptitude for numbers
  • Well organized

 Work environment and physical demands: 

  • This role includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and kneeling 

Successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience. Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus.
