Job Description
The HVAC Field Service Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners.
The HVAC Field Service Supervisor supervises employees and maintains a safe working environment compliant with government regulatory guidelines and RMC Safety systems on multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires travel.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
· Assist with training/supervising field service/startup technicians.
· Build and teach training courses for field service/startup technicians.
· Build site specific equipment checklist for startup/controls configuration.
· Provide onsite and remote technical support for startup technicians.
· Assist in identifying weak and strong points with field startup technicians.
· Maintain consistent contact with Startup Manager to be aware at all times of expected completion dates and job status.
· Travel to jobsites and perform quality checks on equipment startup.
· Identify problems that need to be corrected.
· Keep up to date with all RMC Policy and Procedures, industry standards and government regulations.
· Maintain open and positive communication with Trade Partners.
· Available via telephone after hours and on weekends for emergency and/or customer related issues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial. Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.
· Installation of HVAC materials, equipment, and appropriately matched systems.
· Extensive knowledge of equipment operation and controls.
· Ability to work cooperatively with other trades.
· Must have team building skills.
· Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Effective verbal, presentation and listening communication skills.
· Effective negotiation and mediation skills.
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 suite and custom accounting software.
· Time Management and Stress Management skills.
· Mathematical aptitude.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma required.
· OSHA 30 Certification required.
· 10 plus years of experience required.
Physical Requirements
· Required to stand, walk, and sit.
· Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
· Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
· Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
· Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
