JOB SUMMARY: The Bench Tech/Inventory Specialist is responsible for TLS machine service, maintenance, and upkeep. In addition, they are responsible for repair of machine components as well as developing and keeping an accurate inventory of all TLS parts.
SUPERVISION EXCERCISED: None.
LICENSE REQUIRED: Must obtain and hold a Class III gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.
MINUMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: High School Diploma or G.E.D required. Completion of an electronic trade school preferred. Must have the ability to attain a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity for operation of computer and routine paperwork. Regularly required to sit, stand and walk. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Exposure to second hand smoke and high noise levels.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with Casino guests, Casino Management, team members and vendors. Excellent skills in both written and oral communication preferred. Ability to read, analyze and comprehend technical procedures. Intermediate skills of Machines and troubleshooting techniques are required. At least three (3) to six (6) months of soldering preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of Machine Department experience required and an additional six (6) months experience and/or equivalent education of electronics preferred.

- Develop and implement an accurate inventory system, including ordering and receiving parts.
- Responsible to assist in the installations, game conversions, floor movement, system modification and removal of machines.
- Responsible for machine functional performance, testing, preventative maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting methods and techniques for the greatest optimization of the gaming floor.
- Must be able to troubleshoot TLS Machines as needed to correct errors including but not limited to; reloads, bill validators, printers and monitors.
- Must be able to professionally interact effectively with the guests and fellow team members.
- Knowledge or repair methods, electronic & mechanical functions and knowledge of all running gaming systems.
- Able to assist in training and mentoring of technicians within the department.
- Must have ability to work alone and with little or no supervisor.
- Must become very familiar with Internal Controls, State Compact and NIGC guidelines.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and on call.
