The Audience Program Manager employs audience-first product, programming and marketing strategies to ensure high-quality multiplatform content experience to drive audience acquisition, engagement and retention. This role bridges the teams responsible for programming and promoting Cascade PBS television programming across all distribution channels and serves as the primary product owner of the website and video streaming, while demonstrating Cascade PBS’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity.
Pay Rate: $80,821-$91,331
Location: Seattle - Must live in WA State
Hybrid schedule available

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Curate web site and app home screens, carousels, collections and other content promotion
- Ensure organizational priorities (content, events, membership) are promoted across PBS branded apps and websites
- Upload video and metadata using internal media management systems as needed
- As primary business owner of web site user experience and back-end toolset, serve as audience spokesperson, team champion, and strategic leader
- Develop a deep understanding of Cascade PBS streaming audiences
- Craft crisp business requirements that can be used to inform product development work
- Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy and roadmap
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap
- Champion new front-end and back-end functionality and document product requirements to ensure audience-first approach to user interface and information architecture
- Maintain various informational pages in support of business priorities
- Help marketing leadership establish monthly promotional priorities and communicate them across the organization
- Lead the editorial and production process for the monthly print-at-home viewer guide, ensuring all key deadlines are met; provide the design team with creative direction, content, feedback on drafts and revisions and final sign-off
- Collaborate with membership team to include their priorities in the guide and share marketing priorities for inclusion in the printed Member News mailer
- Support all stages of the program acquisition process including initial screening and recommendation, contract development, file acceptance and quality assurance
- Develop, test, and refine content strategies using data-driven insights to maximize viewer acquisition and retention
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to determine seasonal and thematic programming tactics
- Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the Cascade PBS.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies in content development
- Knowledge of rights management and intellectual property considerations
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Extensive experience with content management systems
- Strong project management skills
- Understanding of marketing analytics and research
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, programming or related field, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
- Five years of experience in marketing or programming required
- Experience negotiating content acquisition and exclusive partnerships
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
- Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
