About Us

Hlavinka Equipment Company is a trusted and well-established agricultural equipment dealership serving Texas since 1939. We take pride in offering top-tier customer service and quality equipment to our community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to join our team at our East Bernard location.


Position Summary

The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for assisting customers with their parts needs, including sales, inquiries, and orders, both in-person and over the phone. This role also supports showroom displays, inventory management, and customer outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is computer proficient and comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, while delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-class customer service at the parts counter, over the phone, and via email. 
  • Build relationships with customers by visiting key accounts and/or making outbound calls to generate additional business. 
  • Use computerized systems to accurately look up, identify, and order parts. 
  • Assist with internet inquiries and support relationships with allied parts partners. 
  • Provide input for advertising campaigns related to parts and other departments. 
  • Coordinate and support supplier programs (Case IH, AGCO, and others). 
  • Maintain and organize showroom and counter displays. 
  • Complete and assist with monthly reporting as needed. 
  • Identify opportunities to promote products through the parts department. 
  • Support inventory control, including monthly returns. 
  • Keep the parts counter, showroom, and receiving areas clean and organized. 
  • Climb ladders and safely operate forklifts to retrieve and stock parts. 
  • Maintain working knowledge of parts inventory, pricing, and availability. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Proficient with computers and parts lookup systems.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75+ lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to learn and safely operate a forklift.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a parts, retail, or sales environment.
  • Knowledge of agricultural or construction equipment parts.
  • Forklift certification.
