Electrical & Electromechanical Systems | Aerospace
We are looking for a Verification & Test Development Engineer to support the development, qualification and validation of advanced electrical and electromechanical systems. This role offers hands‑on involvement in test planning, execution and reporting, working with cutting‑edge technologies in a highly collaborative engineering environment.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys practical testing, problem‑solving and ownership of test activities, and who wants to grow towards independent test leadership.
The Role
You will plan, organise and deliver development and qualification test activities, ensuring products meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Design, Verification & Validation, R&T, R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams, you’ll play a key role in supporting programme milestones through high‑quality, traceable test evidence.
You’ll also contribute to the continuous improvement of test facilities, rigs and methods, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned development and qualification test campaigns to agreed scope, schedule, quality and safety requirements
- Prepare and execute testing by setting up test rigs, instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- Produce clear, compliant Test Plans, Procedures and Test Reports to demonstrate compliance and traceability
- Support Verification & Validation engineers by clarifying test objectives and compliance methods
- Ensure test readiness through risk assessments, safety documentation and test preparation reviews
- Support the development, upkeep and safe operation of test facilities, equipment and processes
- Work with internal stakeholders and external test houses or suppliers as required
- Progressively build capability towards independent ownership of test activities
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
Essential:
- Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in testing, development, validation or qualification activities
- Hands‑on experience with electrical products under test
- Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems to support test rig setup
- Experience defining test methods and executing compliance testing
- Ability to produce structured, high‑quality technical documentation
- Good planning, prioritisation and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience in aerospace, electrical propulsion or regulated engineering environments
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and test software (e.g. Dewesoft, DASYLab, LabVIEW)
- Understanding of product development lifecycles
- Experience supporting or working with external test facilities
