The Branch Manager is responsible for, managing, training, and implementing all functions as they relate to effectiveness and profitability of all personnel in the El Paso division. Implement quality assurance programs to continuously improve customer satisfaction and provide a high level of customer service. Work with other managers, sales, technicians and other personnel as required to assure division profitability.
Responsibilities
Attend manager meetings and be prepared to talk about the status and needs of your division/ team
Review weekly and monthly revenue/ margin goals and consistently maximize productivity of assigned field personnel
Demonstrate a positive, professional, helpful attitude to all internal and external customers
Actively participate in quickly resolving customer issues
Hire, train, coach, discipline and/ or terminate employees
Effectively establish and communicate expectations with employees
Provide and ensure annual performance reviews are held with employees
Update/ disseminate new policies and procedures
Conduct meetings with techs and office personnel
Set and maintain standards for quality and accuracy for work performed by the technicians
Conduct Technical and Safety training for the development of technicians and shop personnel
Communicate with estimators to review deficiencies in reports and correct errors
Regularly check-in with employees to ensure employees are heard, motivated, and performing according to company standards
Implement and manage the roll-out of new programs and/ or software
Promote safety standards (i.e., toolbox talks, safety and training, certification, etc.)
Communicate company policies and procedures to encourage understanding and compliance daily
Perform additional duties as required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as required by management.
· Ensure proper management of accounts by verifying costs, technician hours, and parts used in servicing for accuracy.
· Responsible for increasing service revenue for existing accounts with service personnel.
· Evaluate direct labor costs to maintain expected gross profit margins.
· Ensure technicians have all appropriate tools, paperwork and training to perform their job on a daily basis.
· Technical assistance to customers, technicians, and sales.
· Compare actual hours to estimated hours on projects and review discrepancies with appropriate personnel and make recommendations/implementation of new procedures as required.
· Train technicians on department procedures, code and product updates.
· Review and approve payroll of technicians and shop personnel on a weekly basis.
Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
10+ years prior work experience
Prior experience working in fire protection
Prior management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Desire and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of fire systems and tools
Organized, systematic and adherent to deadlines
Excellent judgement and analysis skills
Preferred
Knowledge working in ProfitZoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity
RME-I License

Pre-action sprinkler systems
Gas suppression systems – CO2
Annual Fire Pump Testing, Analyzing test results
Special suppression – Halon, FM 200, Nitrogen
Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems (ERRC) holding FCC license
