Remote R&D Chief of Staff

This strategic role is key to enhancing the effectiveness of the Research and Development organization. You'll work closely with the Chief Technology and Product Officer and other leaders to ensure decisions are made efficiently and operations run smoothly. Your work will directly influence key priorities and align the team towards common goals across Engineering, Product, Design, and beyond. \n- Serve as a thought partner to the Head of R&D in setting priorities and driving alignment.
- Own the operational processes for R&D, including meeting coordination and project tracking.
- Act as a liaison between R&D and other departments like Finance and People Operations.
- Maintain dashboards and updates to communicate business health to R&D leaders.
- Lead strategic programs and special projects that transcend departmental boundaries.
- Draft and manage communications for R&D, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Champion hiring and culture initiatives to enhance the team environment.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or management consulting within a technology-focused firm.
- 3+ years in a strategic operational role working alongside executive leadership.
- Deep understanding of R&D functions and product development cycles.
- Strong analytical and financial skills for decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to navigate complex environments with ease and pragmatism.
- Experience in developing and streamlining processes in fast-paced settings.
- High emotional intelligence to build trust across the organization.
- Comfortable shifting between strategic and operational perspectives.
- B2B SaaS background preferred; familiarity with Agile and project management concepts a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees are a plus.
