About the Role
Job Description
This is a full-time position. This position is responsible for production assembly, inventory management and test support for all Cognex products assembled, inspected or tested in Aachen.
Essential Functions:
- Perform assembly and test functions with fixtures for cameras in a timely fashion and in accordance with the defined procedures.
- Enter results in the applicable quality database.
- Use automated test equipment and specialized fixtures, to perform function test procedures, after training
- The ability to recognize, document, and escalate test and quality related issues for both product and process.
- Perform unit inspections and minor repairs when necessary.
- Assist in minor troubleshooting, inspection, and material support.
- Handle and manage incoming materials required for engineering prototypes and production builds, tracking it through SAP and performing periodic cycle counts.
- Support electrical engineer with boards components soldering/rework Support test engineer during test fixtures assembly and wiring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to work individually or in a group/team environment with flexible work conditions
- Able to interpret BOMs, process flows, work instructions, deviations and purges
- Proficient in PC quality data entry, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint preferred Able to read electrical drawings preferred
- Ability to solder preferred
Minimum education and work experience required:
- High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years’ experience in assembly and test environment
- Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP systems (preferred)
