Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager to join our Queensland Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team and be part of a diverse workforce. Based in our Brisbane CBD office, you will support a team of property managers for the service delivery and financial performance of a commercial and industrial portfolio. This key role will build strong relationships with the portfolio team and landlord to ensure that business objectives are met and expectations are exceeded.

You will successfully achieve this by:

  • Manage daily tenants matters, respond to all incoming requests, assist in resolving issues.
  • Implement and maintain orderly lease administration, financial management procedures and overall reporting, including monitoring of all statutory and operational charges and expenses.
  • Control the collection and reconciliation of monies, including rentals, outgoings, and recoverable costs in conjunction with strict arrears management practices.
  • Liaise with Property Managers to co-ordinate and prepare operating budgets, involving other key stakeholders in annual budget development where relevant.
  • Facilitate processing of invoices, raising work orders and managing debtors.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Recent experience in a similar role.
  • Tertiary qualification Bachelor’s Degree (Property specialisation preferred but not essential).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
