About the Role
We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Labs, to lead and evolve the sourcing strategy for our national lab supplies category.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of procurement strategy, operational execution, and vendor partnership. You will own the labs category end-to-end, driving supplier strategy, pricing governance, formulary development, and system optimization to improve cost efficiency, consistency, and service across our lab network. Working closely with lab leadership, operations, finance, and cross-functional partners, you will bring structure, visibility, and strategic discipline to how lab supplies are sourced and managed and supporting the continued growth and operational maturity of Dental Labs Canada.
If you’re someone who enjoys connecting the dots, asking “why,” and turning complexity into clarity, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Do
- Own and lead sourcing strategy for the lab supplies category across Dental Labs Canada
- Develop and execute multi-year category strategies aligned to operational and financial objectives
- Build, maintain, and govern a national lab formulary to drive consistency, quality, and cost control
- Lead national supplier negotiations and manage key vendor relationships
- Establish pricing agreements, rebate structures, and service-level expectations
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and deliver cost savings and value creation opportunities
- Monitor contracts, pricing, and compliance to reduce off-contract purchasing
- Partner with lab and operations leaders to streamline purchasing processes
- Support vendor onboarding, SKU rationalization, and data integrity within Dentira
- Track, analyze, and report on category performance, savings, and supplier metrics
- Collaborate with finance, AP, and operations teams to ensure governance and execution
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Proven experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor performance
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing complex spend categories in a multi-site or distributed environment
- Healthcare, dental, or laboratory industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
What Sets You Apart
You bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to lead a complex category end-to-end within a dynamic, multi-site environment. You are energized by growth and change and enjoy building structure, standardization, and governance where processes are still evolving. You think commercially and understand how sourcing decisions impact cost, quality, service, and operational performance. You’re comfortable partnering with technical and operational teams, influencing without formal authority, and earning trust through data, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and have a genuine interest in improving systems, processes, and ways of working. Above all, you bring curiosity, pragmatism, and a continuous-improvement mindset to everything you do.
Why Join Dental Labs Canada?

- Partner closely with lab, operations, and senior leadership teams
- Drive meaningful cost savings while supporting quality and consistency
- Work in a healthcare environment where craftsmanship, trust, and collaboration matter
