Weldco Hydra-Lift manufactures Truck Mounted Cranes ranging from 8-ton to 50-ton capacities. The complete Hydra-Lift product line is proudly built in Canada with the highest degree of quality and workmanship to provide our customers with safe, reliable lifts year after year. Weldco Heavy Industries is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort MacKay Caribou Energy Park, ideally positioned in the heart of Alberta’s Oilsands.

Who Are You? 

Reporting to the Machine Shop/Fabrication Foreman/Lead Hands you will support manufacturing process by following work orders and assisting with various manual duties. 


What you will do:

  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
  • Load and unload metal parts from fixtures and  moves parts using hand truck or dolly
  • Grind and deburr sharp edges from metal parts using hand and power tools  
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Follow directions given on work orders and by co-workers
  • Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists or other devices
  • Operate Fork Lifts, jib and overhead cranes 
  • Perform other duties as required

Sound Familiar?

  • Completion of grade 10
  • Crane & Rigging experience or certification an asset
  • Ability to operate Fork Lift an asset, training may be provided 
  • General knowledge of basic tools and equipment
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent safety record

Due to safety considerations and the physically demanding nature of the role, successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation upon hiring. Passing the Level 1 fitness test on your first attempt is a bona fide occupational requirement (BFOR).
