Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist attorneys in preparing demand letters, filing breach of contract actions, trustee’s sales, and filing bankruptcy related documents.
- Conduct legal research and review case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to bankruptcy and creditors' rights.
- Manage and organize case files, correspondence, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Communicate with clients, courts, creditors, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
- Monitor deadlines and court schedules to ensure timely submissions and filings.
- Draft legal documents, motions, and pleadings under attorney supervision.
- Support the preparation for hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Maintain knowledge of current bankruptcy laws, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and related procedures, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certification; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of Arizona experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy law or creditors' rights.
- Relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 filings, and Arizona trustee sales.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions:
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work). Position requires stamina to work extended periods in excess of 8 hours per day when needed on an infrequent basis.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Repetitive Motion: Making substantial movement (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
