Principle Accountabilities:
Provide training to clients who are participating in Project Search internships or employed in competitive employment.
Reinforce the essential tasks/duties/core skills of the job/business.
Builds natural support.
Reinforces business culture and protocol to the student intern.
Teaches safe practices according to the work environment.
Models’ appropriate workplace behavior
Communicate with community businesses regarding client’s performance on a regular basis,
and assist clients with career-advancing opportunities.
Assist in developing job shadows, internships, work evaluations, and job placements, as
needed.
Develop and maintain individualized program plans, including monitoring progress, providing
feedback, and changing plans when necessary.
Performs Job/Task Analysis of the worksites and competitive job.
Organize, arrange, and assist with the implementation of individual stuffings.
Active communication with funding sources, family, clients, and other team members.
Builds natural support and educates businesses on disability awareness.
Provide follow-along support to employed clients.
Coordinate funding for clients, including monitoring hours of services provided.
Monitor each client’s progression through the program, including documentation of client’s
activities, goal achievement, and job placement opportunities.
Recommends modifications/job accommodations (label cabinets, simplifies written instructions,
etc.) necessary to the successful completion of the job.
Train client in the use of public transportation, including routes, reading schedules, and calling for
assistance and fares.
Provide transportation services when needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Philanthropy: Attend Easterseals events; share positive client stories with development
The interview process consists of 1st phone interview with the Recruitment and Talent Development Coordinator and 2nd interview with the Department Specific Team Leader.
The schedule offered is for Full-Time.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and/or equivalent combination of relevant
education and experience.
• Certified in CPR and First Aid within the first 90 days.
• Ability to successfully complete Mandatory Reporter of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse
within the first 30 days
• Ability to obtain Job Coaching Certificate.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Iowa driver’s license.
• Must be insurable under Easterseals vehicle insurance policy.
• Access to Reliable Transportation for regular participation in work
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people, with and without disabilities.
• Have access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to operate a computer and navigate through the Easterseals database. Experience in word
processing software; Word and Excel preferred.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift.
• Successfully complete Skills system, Deescalation, and Motivational Interviewing training with
in the first year of employment
• Track and maintain position certifications and agency-required training
