About the Role

Description

A Facility Maintenance & Sanitation Supervisor works in partnership with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of buildings and grounds. This role helps ensure facilities meet organizational needs by coordinating routine maintenance, sanitation, ammonia systems, and utilities, while collaborating with staff and vendors to keep systems running smoothly. The Facility Maintenance & Sanitation Supervisor supports budget planning, helps guide and develop team members, and works closely with others to maintain compliance with employee and food safety regulations.

Key responsibilities include contributing to strategic planning, strengthening teamwork across departments, building strong vendor partnerships, supporting emergency preparedness and response, coordinating space and equipment needs, and maintaining a solid understanding of facility-related financial resources to support operational goals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of plant operational processes and procedures (e.g. routine and emergency start-up and shutdown practices).
  • Monitor the quality of operational processes, ensuring they meet company standards and customer expectations
  • Proactively identify and discuss related issues to production and personnel, ensuring minimal disruption to the production and shipping processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and peers, both verbal and written
  • Must possess good organizational skills and be capable of prioritizing time and tasks appropriately
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency scanning devices
  • Basic math skills
  • Management experience
  • 3-5 years forklift experience
  • Strong sense of emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work a flexible shift, may include weekends, as needed
  • Ability to meet all security requirements and/or pass a drug and alcohol test (security sensitive positions only).


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Famous Software is highly preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food handling environment. 
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision
  • Ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer skills knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
