Technical Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead to lead our reporting development initiatives. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in Microsoft-based reporting technologies and the ability to guide a team in delivering high-quality, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI
  • Work closely with product teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance for reporting efficiency
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers in report development and best practices
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and product management
  • Manage tasks, sprints, and deliverables using Jira
  • Maintain proper version control practices using Git and TFS
  • Stay updated with the latest Microsoft technologies and reporting tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning)
  • Hands-on experience with SSRS and Power BI (report design, dashboards, data modeling)
  • Solid experience in ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience working in product-based software environments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of modern UI/UX practices in reporting solutions
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
