About the Role

Business Function

Group Operations enables and empowers the bank with efficient, nimble and resilient processes through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Group Ops Capability Centre (GOCC) was formed to accelerate innovation via development and deployment of AI capabilities and COE setups, and at the same time to ensure resiliency and standardisation. The function also holds the mandate to oversee digital transformation initiatives across the 3 Lines of Business Ops (LOBOs) and Operations COO functions.

 

Responsibilities

The selected candidate would be responsible to manage rhythm of the business (of GOCC function); conduct financial planning to manage the function within budgets; drive scorecard planning, progress & governance; organize strategic workshops & offsites; drum up people engagement & culture; operationalize regular matters of the function; prepare for leadership reviews; and own and deliver on ad hoc projects.

 

The detailed responsibilities include:

 

  1. Financial Planning & Mgmt.:
    • Manage Financial Planning & Governance of the function (incl. travel budget), in collaboration with Group Finance and provide insights to the mgmt. team / data to stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely hiring, replacement/backfills, etc.
    • Drive operations / financials planning of the 2 GOCC-supporting platforms.
  2. Scorecard Mgmt.:
    • Formalize and maintain GOCC Scorecard and the relevant metrics & targets, aligned to Group Ops strategy.
    • Conduct rituals to gather & synthesize information for GOCC Scorecard KPIs / metrics / targets / actuals and disseminate further as required.
    • Identify performance gaps and proactively drive interventions and course correction.
    • Be the liaison from GOCC to provide information for Group Ops scorecard inputs.
  3. GOCC Offsites & Workshops:
    • Plan the events calendar for strategic events of GOCC, in line with the other activities happenings within & outside GOCC.
    • Organize / maintain oversight on GOCC COO team’s organization of offsites & workshops and manage financials.
  4. GOCC Function's Operational matters:
    • Drive operational matters / projects as required, both regionally & with the locations.
    • Be the function’s BCP (Business Continuity Planning) Manager.
    • Maintain due diligence & reporting on required declarations / attestations.
    • Work with the Locations to establish & maintain reporting lines, budget & other organizational structures.
    • Manage GOCC COO team’s book-of-work planning & execution.
  5. People Engagement & other roles for GOCC:
    • Play the role of GOCC MyVoice Champion, represent GOCC in relevant forums/taskforces, and conduct the required information cascade.
    • Represent the function as MA (Management Associates) Champion.
    • Organize GOCC Mgmt. meetings & send out meetings minutes / track action-items.
    • Play the role of GOCC JoySpace champion on standing basis and for workplace renovation.

Requirements

  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Solid & proven experience in business management, strategy, finance, or COO office roles.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Financial management & budgeting.
    • Performance management / scorecards.
    • Executive-level stakeholder management.
    • Experience supporting senior leadership forums.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
    • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen.
    • Financial fluency and analytical rigor.
