About the Role

Description

New West Distributing is looking for a Full-Time Sales Route in the Reno-Sparks area.


If you are a motivated hard worker that likes working with others and enjoys being out in the field this may be the position for you!

The position of Sales Route is responsible for performing activities while adhering to the standards of the brewery in the sales market. This position will leverage previous execution experience and keen business acumen in the following areas:

  • Great Customer Service with Accounts
  • Problem Solving
  • Ability to Work in a Fast Paced Environment
  • Time Management
  • Communication Skills
  • Navigation of Ordering software

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and maintain relationships with management in New West’s Sales Accounts.
  • Keep Inventory Controlled by:
  • Daily Inventory Counts
  • Rotation of Beer
  • Removal of Beer that is Out of Code, or Damaged.
  • Communicating with the ABM (Area Business Manager) About Accounts Daily.
  • Getting Displays to Support AD Activity
  • Securing new products within assigned accounts
  • Ensuring proper distribution to ensure competitive balance
  • Ability to Follow Monthly Planner Given by Brewery
  • Ensuring Orders are Placed On Time
  • Compiling and distributing Internal Sales reports
  • Broad experience and understanding of the Sales market.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize, maintain attention to detail, and work under critical timeframes.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Salesman Handheld experience is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge and Ability to communicate Supplier Standard

Physical Demands

Physical demands include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive body movement such as squatting, twisting, kneeling, bending, and stooping
  • Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds without assistance at various times
  • Exposure to weather

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license.
  • Possess a reliable vehicle and must maintain auto insurance on their vehicle
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be available to work weekends, when necessary
  • A team player who is focused on providing exceptional customer service
