What You Will Be Doing
As a Junior FP&A Analyst, you will partner closely with the Director of FP&A to support the company’s financial planning and analysis function. This role plays a key part in delivering actionable insights through monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis to support informed business decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including job cost analysis with clear identification of risks and opportunities.
- Analyze historical and current trends in key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide data-driven insights.
- Assist with development of Monthly Reporting Package for senior leadership.
- Assist with the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, coordinating cross-functional input from operations, sales, and finance teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools to enhance visibility and decision-making across the organization.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Support the implementation and optimization of Sage ERP for financial reporting and analysis.
- Perform additional duties and ad hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance department, preferably in a public company environment.
- Experience in multi-unit construction is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of thinking critically and creatively.
- Hands-on team player with a proactive approach and strong work ethic.
