📍 Location: Bristol
💷 Pay Rate: £13.61 per hour
⏰ Hours: Average 42 hours per week
📅 Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights
🕖 Shifts: 07:00–19:00 & 19:00–07:00

Purpose: To deliver effective security services as a Security Officer at the assigned location, in accordance with Assignment Instructions and client requirements, ensuring the safety and protection of employees, property, and assets.

We are seeking a highly professional Corporate Security Officer to join our team in supporting a prestigious client based in BS16 1FJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional who takes pride in delivering a high standard of safety, protection, and customer service within a critical corporate environment.
Essential Requirements
- Hold a valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure.
- Maintain a high level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Be able to work a rotating shift pattern, including night shifts.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
Security Clearance Requirements: Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates must be able to obtain the following clearances:
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
- Security Check (SC) Clearance*
*Please note: SC clearance requires applicants to have lived in the UK continuously for a minimum of five (5) years.Shift Pattern:
- Average of 42 hours per week
- 12‑hour shifts
- 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern
- Flexibility to work both days and nights is required
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in corporate or defence‑related security environments
- First Aid qualification
- CCTV (SIA) Licence
Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a visible and proactive security presence across the site
- Control access and egress, ensuring all personnel and visitors follow security protocols
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols
- Monitor CCTV and security systems in line with company procedures
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident records
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors
- Support the client’s security culture and uphold site integrity at all times
Protection of Property and Premises
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site at all times.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems in accordance with procedures.
- Conduct regular internal and external security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Provide traffic control services and enforce parking restrictions when required.
- Carry out routine checks of security equipment and ensure correct usage at all times.
- Manage keys, including secure locking and unlocking of buildings, in line with Assignment Instructions.
- Ensure all equipment issued by the customer and Securitas is used, maintained, and stored correctly.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and records in accordance with Assignment Instructions.
- Issue visitor and contractor passes as required and ensure compliance with site procedures.
- Handle and process lost property in line with Assignment Instructions.
Health and Safety
- Provide clear support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors to ensure the safeguarding of the premises.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Record and promptly report any faults, hazards, unsafe practices, accidents, or incidents to supervisors or management.
- Ensure all access and egress routes remain clear and unobstructed at all times.
- Use and check First Aid equipment appropriately and report usage or shortages within First Aid boxes.
- Notify the Securitas Operations Centre (SOC) immediately in the event of any emergency and follow all given instructions.
- Investigate fire alarm activations and take appropriate action in accordance with site procedures.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:

- A valid SIA licence.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
- British nationality and UK residency for the past 5 years (due to site requirements).
