About the Role

Description

Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Marine Sales Consultants at our Islamorada, FL location. We are prioritizing local candidates or those currently residing in the Florida Keys area who are available to start immediately.


This is a key role within our Sales Department, where you will work directly with customers to guide them through the purchase of boats, motors, and trailers while delivering a high-quality, customer-first experience.

Sales Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales process from initial inquiry through closing 
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across all brands and models 
  • Engage with customers consistently through the company’s CRM system 
  • Enter accurate customer, unit, and pricing information into the DMS 
  • Build long-term relationships by delivering a professional, customer-focused experience 
  • Recommend add-on products and services in coordination with Finance and Service Departments 
  • Assist in creating and maintaining accurate website listings 
  • Utilize social media to promote dealership inventory and services 

Customer Experience

  • Provide a welcoming and professional experience to every customer 
  • Identify customer needs and guide them toward the right solution 
  • Respond to phone and in-person inquiries with accuracy and urgency 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready workspace 
  • Build rapport and trust to create repeat business and referrals

Requirements

 

  • Prior sales experience in a retail or dealership environment preferred 
  • Marine or boating knowledge strongly preferred 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships 
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment 
  • Basic computer proficiency; CRM or DMS experience is a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for quoting and contracts 
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and extended hours during peak seasons 
  • Passion for boating and willingness to learn 
  • Must be local to the Islamorada / Florida Keys area or able to start immediately (no relocation assistance available for this role)
