About the Role

Description

Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in The Treasure Valley. We are looking for a Service Porter to join our Kendall Auto Mall Team.

We are looking for self-motivated, reliable candidates ready to begin a career in the auto industry. This is an entry level position providing training and room for growth. The required part-time schedule is Mon-Fri 2pm-6pm. 


Our Porters are working in a fast-paced environment, making sure vehicles are arriving and departing to the appropriate store locations. Porters are trusted to drive Kendall vehicles safely and represent the Kendall brand. Job duties include moving and parking vehicles frequently, driving vehicles to other Kendall locations within the Treasure Valley, and occasionally obtaining information for vehicles and repair orders, retrieving parts and supplies, washing exterior of vehicles, vacuuming interiors of vehicles and janitorial tasks to keep service drive clean and presentable.


This position works both indoors and outdoors, in a shop environment greeting customers in the service drive, standing and walking is required for up to 75% of work shift, and bending, twisting, and kneeling required primarily for getting in and out of vehicles.


Work is performed equally inside and outside, majority of job duties will be completed via standing or walking, though bending and twisting will occur to enter and exit vehicles frequently. Lifting 20 pounds occasionally, and rarely up to 50 pounds will be required.

Requirements

Candidates must have the capacity to operate a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models, must have ability to drive automatic and manual transmission. A good, clean driving record and valid driver license is required.
