Get Hands-On with Boats and Support Daily Operations

Boater’s World Marine Centers is hiring a reliable and hardworking Lot Porter to support our Lake Placid, FL location during peak season.

With a high volume of incoming boats and daily movement across departments, this role is essential in keeping the lot organized, clean, and running efficiently.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being around boats.

Key Responsibilities

Boat Movement & Handling

• Move, position, and stage boats, trailers, and equipment across the lot 
• Assist with loading, unloading, and repositioning units as needed 
• Support movement of boats for Sales, Service, and delivery preparation 

Lot Organization & Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lot environment 
• Ensure boats are properly staged and presentable for customers 
• Assist with general upkeep of the yard and surrounding areas 

Inventory Support

• Assist in receiving incoming boats and organizing inventory 
• Help ensure units are placed correctly and easy to locate 
• Report any visible damage or issues to management 

Operational Support

• Work closely with the Lot Manager and other departments to support daily operations 
• Assist wherever needed to keep dealership workflow moving efficiently 

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 
• Ability to lift, move, and work with boats and equipment 
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions 
• Willingness to learn and follow proper boat handling procedures 
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented 
• Experience with trailers or towing is a plus, but not required
