About the Role

Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD

Security Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret/SCI

What You’ll Do:


As the Acoustic Systems Analyst, you will support the Air ASW Systems Program Office (PMA-264) at NAS Patuxent River, MD. In this role, you will primarily support RDT&E of acoustic sensors and systems and their integration into the P-8A platform. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the program office in managing engineering requirements across multiple Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems.
  • Maintain engineering coordination with the PMA-264 Class Desk.
  • Assist in developing Operator Machine Interfaces (OMI), CONOPS, CONEMPS, system specifications, and SETR documentation.
  • Analyze acoustic flight data to produce studies and fleet operational recommendations.
  • Participate in working groups to provide ASW and engineering expertise, developing solutions and courses of action.
  • Support STR/CDP management processes.
  • Provide P-8A acoustic fleet support.
  • Evaluate and provide guidance on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
  • Participate in regular programmatic and technical meetings.
  • Perform flight duties as a Project Specialist.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:   

  • At least 3 years of experience with the P-8 platform as an Acoustic Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare Operator, required.
  • Significant operational experience and knowledge of Acoustic training systems and courseware.
  • Experience in all facets of ASW and OPS along with associated tactics, required
  • MAC experience is desired.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000, commensurate with an individual’s experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
