Description
Are you a skilled HVAC professional who takes pride in keeping buildings running safely and efficiently? Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
As an HVAC / Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on with building systems, equipment, and grounds—ensuring everything operates at peak performance while supporting compliance with state and federal regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems, including HVAC, electrical controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
- Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor electrical work
- Complete preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans
- Maintain grounds and outdoor areas (mowing, plowing, sanding, etc.) to ensure safety and appearance
- Repair furniture, move equipment, and assist with facility upkeep and organization
- Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance issues, including occasional off-hours calls
- Operate facility vehicles for errands, deliveries, and pickups
- Accurately complete work orders and required documentation
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor and step into leadership responsibilities when needed
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of HVAC experience
- Valid licensure in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, or boiler operation
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heat pumps, compressors, boilers, cooling towers, etc.)
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA safety codes
- Experience with general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
- Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
