About the Role

Description

Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for a long-term contract at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock. Start Date: June / July
Schedule: Full-time | Day & Night Shifts Available
Hours: 36–48 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: Minimum  6 month Up to 1 year with additional extension options Available
Location: Shiprock, NM

What You’ll Do

Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting
Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments
Respond to acute changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Credentialing process may take up to 90 days

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (ADN or BSN required) 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience 
  • Minimum of 1- 2 years of recent pediatric inpatient care experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a federal security clearance

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state accepted)
  • Current BLS & PALS certification required 
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Previous IHS experience a plus
  • Experience with EHR systems required
  • Required immunizations must be up to date
