About the Role

Description

H&H Color Lab is one of the largest single facility professional photography labs in the nation, engaged in both the high-end portrait and wedding market and the high-volume school, sports and events market. With 50 years of experience, H&H Color Lab is an industry leader in product development and design for high quality photographic prints and products.
 

H&H Color Lab is seeking a Press Operator. The Press Operator will create and assemble custom products such as greeting cards, yearbooks, coffee table books, ID cards, and school picture day fliers.


**This is a regular status year-round position, NOT seasonal!**


Work Schedule: Friday – Monday 

· 8:00AM – 4:00PM Friday & Monday 

· 7:00AM – 5:00PM Saturday & Sunday 


Must be able to train for a minimum of three or four weeks on day shift Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM before being moved to the regular work schedule!
 

Pay: $20.00 per hour. $18 base + $2 shift differential for working weekends. 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Read and interpret customer requests provided on the order form.
  • Operate printing equipment.
  • Assist in the upkeep of all Digital Press Assembly machinery such as taking out screws, replacing parts.
  • Assemble order to customer specifications. Assembly may require the operation of production equipment, such as binding, cutting, gluing, and laminating equipment, or the use of hand tools.
  • Package order for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all of H&H Color Lab’s safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate management.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to read,  comprehend, interpret and speak the English language at a level normally acquired through a high school education.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions in English.
  • Must be detail-minded
  • Must have the ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Able to stand for an entire work shift and lift up to 40 pounds to waist level.
  • Ability to perform certain tasks on a repetitive basis including, but not limited to, carrying, standing, kneeling, squatting, pushing, walking, sitting, reaching, gripping, and pulling.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan work under own initiative.
  • Ability to withstand moderate exposure to fumes, chemicals, and noise from machines and equipment.
