About the Role

Oak Pointe located in Newcomerstown, OH, an Evermark company is a leading manufacturer of exquisitely crafted stair parts and millwork, we're set to revolutionize industry standards and broaden our horizons. 


As we continue to expand, we are seeking an Application & Design Engineer to apply advanced engineering principles to design, support, and improve products, manufacturing processes, and highly customized solutions.

Requirements

  • Translate customer and internal requirements into manufacturable product designs using CAD, documentation, and engineering analysis to meet performance, quality, cost, and usability goals.
  • Improve efficiency, quality, and reliability by evaluating and optimizing manufacturing equipment, materials, tooling, and production processes.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs and machining processes, while providing expert guidance and training on turning, milling, and tooling best practices.
  • Design and implement custom tooling, fixtures, and unconventional solutions to support highly customized or technically complex customer applications.
  • Provide technical input for quotes and act as a liaison across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and project teams to ensure feasibility, alignment, and successful execution.
  • Serve as a technical lead on complex projects, mentor engineers and manufacturing staff, and contribute to continuous improvement, standards, and best practices.
