POSITION SUMMARY

The Food & Beverage Concierge is a resident-facing hospitality professional dedicated exclusively to our Independent Living residents. Stationed primarily on the 8th floor, this position ensures a high-touch, seamless food and beverage experience by supporting resident services, bar operations, dining reservation coordination, administrative F&B functions, and daily service transitions.

The role acts as a central communication and service hub between residents, Culinary, Beverage, Dining Operations, and Building Operations Management (BOM).

*The daily schedule is 11 a.m.- 7:30 p.m*

*This is a non-tipped position.*


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident Services & Guest Experience Support

  • Serve as the primary F&B concierge contact for Independent Living residents.
  • Provide consistent, professional resident engagement throughout the service day.
  • Support dining reservations and inquiries via eMenu.
  • Assist with featured Independent Living activities in common areas.
  • Support front desk concierge coverage during scheduled break periods.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Monitor and respond to voicemail and email communications.
  • Maintain accurate resident spend-down tracking and updates.
  • Coordinate miscellaneous supply requests and operational needs.
  • Support F&B and BOM operational requests as assigned.
  • Manage Kavala schedule updates and labor tracking.
  • Confirm next day room service orders and resident appointments.
  • Prepare and distribute end-of-day reporting as required.

Beverage & Social Programming Support

  • Execute resident happy hour bar service on the 10th floor.
  • Provide a nightcap beverage service in the 8th-floor common area.
  • Ensure service areas remain stocked, organized, and service-ready.
  • Support featured Independent Living activities in common areas.

Resident Services & Operational Support

  • Provide resident service support from the 8th-floor concierge desk.
  • Update resident spend-down records.
  • Coordinate miscellaneous supply ordering.
  • Update Kavala schedules and labor tracking.
  • Confirm next day room service orders and resident appointments.

Requirements

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate's degree in hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A Food Handler Card/Serve Safe (or ability to obtain) with an understanding of kitchen and dining sanitation and food codes.

Experience, Competencies, and Skills:

  • At least two to three (2-3) years of experience in an upscale dining environment is required.
  • Previous experience in retirement housing is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with computer systems, particularly Excel and Word, is required.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrates initiative, good judgment, and professional ethics.
