Our strengths-based, trauma-informed treatment includes one-on-one and group counseling sessions, life skills groups, vocational groups, case management and relapse prevention groups. Our experienced, compassionate and professional staff includes licensed chemical dependency and mental health professionals, case managers, nurses, ARNPs, physicians and psychiatrists. Providing programs and services individualized to the unique goals and capabilities of the individual, allows us to help our patients achieve positive outcomes. Our primary care team helps our substance use and mental health patients to manage their overall physical health as well as commonly occurring chronic conditions. In an average year, our 9 service locations in King and Snohomish counties serve approximately 4,500 adults and nearly 750 youth and young adults in our community. Therapeutic Health Services is the largest non-profit provider of medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction in Washington State. We specialize in treating high-risk, low-income, ethnic minority, multi-system involved, and “harder to serve” adults and youth.

We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Clinician to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed outpatient services to adults with commercial insurance. This role is part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team composed of mental health, substance use, and medical professionals. Services are provided both in-person and via telehealth. The salary range for this position is $75,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience.


This position is located in our beautiful new offices in the historic Medical Dental Building (509 Olive Way) in downtown Seattle. Clinicians enjoy access to tenant-only amenities, including a full fitness center with sauna, the tranquil Wintergarden lounge, and a café conveniently located in the lobby.


In addition to competitive compensation, this role offers eligibility for a performance-based bonus, and the rewarding opportunity to serve downtown clients with commercial insurance—supporting THS’s mission by helping to fund uncompensated care at other locations.

Requirements

  • Provide strengths-based outpatient therapy to adult clients using individual, group, and family modalities across the continuum of care.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning using evidence-informed, culturally relevant practices.
  • Services to be delivered in-person, via telehealth or a combination of both.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with THS protocols and funder standards.
  • Monitor caseload and maintain compliance with agency productivity expectations while ensuring quality of care.
  • Maintain compliance with agency productivity expectations by delivering at least 95 direct, billable service hours per month.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, licensing regulations, and agency policies related to confidentiality, consent, and client rights.

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in clinical supervision, case reviews, and interdisciplinary treatment planning to support integrated, coordinated care.
  • Consult and collaborate with THS team members across medical, SUD, and psychiatric departments.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture by modeling professional communication, accountability, and empathy.

Professional Growth & Community Engagement

  • Actively participate in agency-sponsored training and continuing education to strengthen skills in trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, and emerging treatment models.
  • Represent THS in community meetings, referral collaborations, and client advocacy efforts.
  • Contribute to ongoing program development and service improvement initiatives through feedback and creative problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications:    

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active Washington State Department of Health credential allowing independent clinical practice (e.g., LICSW, LMHC,).
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience working with adults, families, or communities affected by mental health disorders, trauma, or substance use.
  • Ability to work in a metrics- and performance-based clinical setting, with demonstrated success in meeting productivity goals: must meet monthly productivity goals of at least 95 billable service hours.
  • Demonstrated experience with client engagement, clinical documentation, and treatment planning.
  • Ability to maintain a culturally inclusive and client-centered approach, especially when working with diverse and underserved communities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and general computer skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within THS service areas as needed.
